Shipping policy

At Mary Charles Doll House we sell two kinds of products, and they ship a little differently: toys, dollhouses and miniatures leave our Homewood, Alabama location within days, while handcrafted wood furniture and decor is made to order and takes longer. Everything ships free within the United States.

Free Shipping

  • Shipping is free on every order — no minimum purchase, for both toys and furniture.
  • We ship to addresses within the United States only (all 50 states). We do not ship to P.O. boxes for furniture orders.

Toys, Dollhouses & Miniatures

  • Processing time: 1–2 business days after payment is confirmed. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day.
  • Delivery time: 3–7 business days after processing, via USPS or UPS Ground.
  • Total estimated time: 4–9 business days from order to doorstep.

Wood Furniture & Decor (Made to Order)

Every furniture piece is handcrafted from solid wood after you place your order, so nothing is shipped from stock.

  • Production time: 3–5 weeks for most pieces. Larger or customized items may take up to 6–8 weeks; the lead time for each item is shown on its product page.
  • Delivery time: 1–2 weeks after your piece leaves the workshop.
  • Total estimated time: 4–7 weeks from order to delivery for standard pieces.
  • Small items (wall art, shelves, lamps, small decor) ship by UPS or FedEx Ground.
  • Large items (tables, vanities, beds, benches, cabinets) ship by freight carrier, fully crated. The carrier will email you to schedule a curbside delivery appointment. Please have someone available to receive the item.
  • Free shipping still applies — there are no freight surcharges.

If a product page shows a different lead time than this policy, the product page applies.

Order Tracking

As soon as your order ships you will receive an email with a tracking number. For freight deliveries, the carrier will also contact you directly to arrange a delivery date. If you have not received tracking within the processing time above, please email us with your order number.

Delays

Carrier delays, severe weather and holiday volume can occasionally extend delivery times beyond the estimates above. If your order is running late, we will email you with an update. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Inspecting Your Delivery

  • Please inspect the outer packaging when your order arrives.
  • For freight deliveries, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
  • If an item arrives damaged, email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can arrange a replacement, repair or refund. See our Refund Policy for details.

Address Changes

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We can update an address free of charge before the order ships; after that, address changes are subject to carrier fees and may not be possible for freight shipments.
